| How You Can Get Involved Two Southern California non-profit organizations have joined together to educate adults. The Los Angeles County Medical Alliance and the Rotary Club of Glendale Sunrise began this project in the spring of 2001. Although the concept originated in New Jersey, these two organizations are taking it to the West coast and beyond.

On Tuesday, August 10th, 2004 the Los Angeles County Board Of Supervisors recognized the Not Even For A Minute Program adopted the program as a country-wide education effort. Supervisor Mike Antonovich, Sheriff Lee Baca, County District Attorney Rocky Delgadillo, and the Los Angeles County Fire Department made statement at a large press conference highlighting the dangers of leaving children unattended in and around cars.
With the launch of this county-wide program you have a great opportunity within Los Angeles County and country-wide to promote the Not Even For A Minute Project. The long-anticipated Public Service Announcements (PSAs) are now available, see What You Can Do Page.
